IAF Endorsed™ Facilitator

Officially launched in 2021 to cater for members who are considering of becoming a practitioner in the field of facilitation but are currently at the early stages of their career as facilitators (at least one year of experience), the IAF Endorsed™ Facilitator (EF) designation is a first stage of the IAF Professional Development Pathway.

Assessment Process

The IAF Endorsed™ Facilitator assessment process is based on an online examination and 3-part written submission where members must demonstrate an understanding of the IAF Core Competencies have practical experience using facilitation tools, techniques and/or methods conduct himself/herself in congruence with the IAF Statement of Values and Code of Ethics.

Online Examination

It consists of 60 multiple-choice questions, divided across the 6 IAF Core Competency areas. The examination is designed to test the candidate's understanding of the IAF Core Competencies.

3-Part Written Submission include:

    • Part 1 – Administrative information about candidate
    • Part 2 – Short career resume
    • Part 3 – Training courses attended and brief summary of facilitation experiences and one session conducted.

One assessor is assigned to assess the candidate and some cases, he/she may request an interview with the candidate.

Preparation for Assessment

If you are interested in undertaking the assessment, you should review your facilitation knowledge, experience, and skills relative to the IAF Core Competencies.

If you’re based in Singapore, you may wish to consider attending Change@Werk Facilitation Skills Workshop to deepen your knowledge in facilitation and aligned with the IAF Core Competencies.

Proceed with your application when you feel you have the knowledge, skills and experience to demonstrate your use of the IAF Core Competencies.

Validity of IAF Endorsed™ Facilitator Designation

Valid for four years after which we highly recommend that you actively sharpen your facilitation experience and strive for the next level of facilitation certification - the IAF Certified™ Professional Facilitator.
